While the “Egghead”” arc has only just begun in the One Piece anime, the ongoing storyline in the manga will soon reach its end. In anticipation for the next chapter of the Straw Hat Pirates, Shonen Jump is set to release new character figures that tie into the next major arc in the One Piece manga.

The official Shonen Jump website revealed it will release new character figures related to Elbaf in November, indicating the end of the “Egghead” story arc this fall. This announcement suggests that the next adventure for the Straw Hat Pirates will take place in the “strongest country in the world.” As mentioned by @/sandman_AP on X (formerly Twitter), the official One Piece website accidentally ‘leaked’ the announcement of Buggy the Star Clown joining the Seven Warlords of the Sea before the manga chapter came out, potentially revealing the end date of “Egghead.”

One Piece’s New Ebalf Character Figure Announcement Suggests an End Date for Egghead

Across social media platform X, various One Piece fans are theorizing that the new character figures could be modeled after pre-existing characters with relations to Elbaf. The Viking kingdom has been hinted at since the early beginnings of the One Piece series, dating all the way back to the “Little Garden” story arc, opening up the possibilities for Elbaf natives like Dorry, Brogy, Hajrudin or Jaguar D. Saul.

However, given that model manufacturers would need to know months in advance which characters they’re producing, it’s also possible that these upcoming figures will be original. Even though One Piece is currently in its final saga, recent storylines like “Egghead” and “Wano Country” show that the series is still interested in creating new characters exclusive to their stories. Regardless, the character figure announcement indicates that the “Egghead” story arc will end in six months. Considering that this storyline began in late 2022 in the manga, the half-year timeline to wrap things up seems appropriate.
