One of the most noteworthy moments in the arc was the arrival of the Blackbeard Pirates on Egghead Island. The crew has become a lot more active in the Final Saga, but it was surprising to see them in the middle of a war.

Why Did Catarina Devon Travel To Egghead Island?

He has planned each and every single one of his moves meticulously, which is why he has been so successful. Even Blackbeard’s recruitment has been top-notch. He has gathered a crew of the toughest and meanest pirates in the world. He trusts them enough to carry out crucial missions by themselves. This is why he only sent Catarina Devon and Van Augur to Egghead Island. But what was the purpose of their visit?

Initially, Catarina Devon’s arrival was linked to another assault by the Blackbeard Pirates on a Devil Fruit user. Since the time skip, the crew has been going out of their way to collect Devil Fruits. So, it was only plausible to assume that was the motivation behind their visit. However, it became quite clear that they wanted to achieve something much bigger.

Getting What They Want

With the help of Van Augur’s Wapu Wapu no Mi, Catarina Devon was able to get close enough to Jaygarcia Saturn and touch him. While it may not seem all that important, this can potentially change the world. Fans must be familiar with the fact that she possesses the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Kyubi no Kitsune. It is a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows her to transform into any person. But it only works if she has touched the person at some point. After making contact with Jaygarcia Saturn, Catarina Devon can morph into the Celestial Dragon at any time.

There is a chance that he might order Catarina Devon to go to Impel Down and free Doflamingo, who possesses information about the sacred treasure of Marijoa.

The World Government has tried to assassinate Doflamingo multiple times, but Magellan has protected him. If Doflamingo is freed, he will most likely give Blackbeard the information that he needs. So, Blackbeard and his crew will have to be at the top of their game. When Blackbeard will initiate his plan is unknown, but it is highly likely that it will happen in the upcoming arcs.
