UFC 300 is a massive historical event with the best fight card ever in the history of MMA. As such, the other sports have noticed the event and engaged in cross-promotion. WWE stars recently promoted the event on social media, and now the NBA has collaborated with the UFC as well with their championship trophy.

All the athletes on UFC 300 posed with the Larry O’Brien Trophy, given to the NBA champions. Named after Larry O’Brien, the famed NBA commissioner, most UFC fighters addressed the trophy as ‘Larry.’ Cody Brundage was the first to call the Trophy by name, and Justin Gaethje followed suit.

Kayla Harrison and Zhang Weili found the trophy heavy and difficult to lift. Moreover, Jamahal Hill hilariously urged Dana White to make the UFC belts heavier to match the NBA trophy. Furthermore, Charles Oliveria and Arman Tsaruyan choked and hugged the trophy. Aljamain Sterling hilariously stated that he wanted to become an NBA player but found out he was too short in High School.

Alex Pereira and Max Holloway were very happy to have the trophy presented to them. Holloway, a basketball fan, showed immense gratitude. Pereira hilariously asked whether the trophy was for him as he had already got an expensive watch as a gift.

The UFC 300 star posing with the Larry O’Brien trophy had the fans riled up. Fans found immense joy as they saw their favorite fighters with the coveted NBA trophy. Some fans even hilariously requested a matchup between LeBron James and Alex Pereira.

Many of the NBA stars are big fans of the UFC, and some have friendships with the fighters. Jamahal MurrayShaquille O’Neal, and Kevin Durant are big fans of the UFC. The late Kobe Bryant was also a big fan of the sport in addition to the several big names from the NFL and NHL.

Even though Larry O’Brien does not have any affiliation with the UFC, he is the son of Irish immigrants. The UFC exploded when Conor McGregor came onto the scene and received support from the Irish in Europe and the Irish Americans in the USA. Moreover, the fans had nothing bad to say about the collaboration as they anticipated the UFC 300 card.
