Lionel Messi’s eight-year-old son Mateo scored five goals in a recent appearance for Inter Miami’s under-nine team.

Mateo – who is Messi and wife Antonela Roccuzzo’s middle child of three – looked like a mini mirror image of his dad as he scored from a free-kick with his right foot.

He even celebrated like his old man by blowing a kiss to a spectator, just as Messi did following a goal for Barcelona against Tottenham at Wembley in 2018.

Mateo’s other four goals were all solo strikes that involved him showing off his dribbling skills.

Mateo is not the only one of Messi’s sons currently on the books at Inter Miami.

Eleven-year-old Thiago is part of Miami’s U12 side this season.

Ciro, five, has not yet joined the club.

However, judging by a viral video from last year that showed Ciro nailing an overhead kick with an assist from his father, it probably won’t be long until he is signed up too.
