Player with 296 career goals teases Inter Miami move after calling David Beckham “boss”

An elite goalscorer has now teased a move to Inter Miami by calling David Beckham “boss” on Instagram.

The 48-year-old has already managed to convince the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets to move to Miami.

David Beckham is gradually building a Major League Soccer super team – and another world class talent has now teased Inter Miami fans with a comment on Instagram…

32-year-old teases Inter Miami move

Well, it was none other than Neymar who teased a potential move to Inter Miami.

The Brazil international met up with the Inter Miami President and Victoria Beckham for dinner in Miami – which unsurprisingly got people talking, given the fact four of the South American’s old Barcelona teammates are currently playing for Inter Miami.

Nevertheless, Beckham moved to immediately squash talk of Neymar signing for Inter Miami by stating that the meeting was “only for dinner” on his Instagram caption.

Nevertheless, the Al-Hilal No.10 fuelled the speculation himself by later responding to that post with the comment “thank you boss” along with a laughing emoji.

When David Beckham could sign Neymar

Like the deal involving Messi, Beckham was forced to wait for the 36-year-old’s contract to expire, as it would have taken an enormous transfer fee to lure the Argentine away from PSG.

Neymar’s situation is quite similar.

Al-Hilal surely won’t be willing to sell the Brazilian for any kind of figure Inter Miami can afford, having only recently signed him from PSG in a £77.6m deal.

However, the man with 296 career goals does only have just over 12 months remaining on his contract, so Beckham could sign him on a free transfer in the summer of 2025 – like he did with Messi back in July 2023.

The move would – however – be likely to cost Inter Miami an astronomical figure in terms of wages, with Neymar currently earning around £1.6m every WEEK in Saudi Arabia.

Having said that, a pay cut is possible, and Neymar has already said he would like to play with Messi again, so be sure to keep an eye on this situation between now and the summer of 2025.
