Dak Prescott

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is having a weird offseason, as it is reported that Jerry Jones will not be renegotiating his contract and probably will leave Dallas at the end of the 2024 NFL season, and also he was accused of sexual assault by a woman, who filed a police report for an incident that allegedly happened in 2017.

On Friday, Prescott attended the Texas Children’s Cancer Fund Gala and talked for the first time about the allegations. While the civil and criminal process is ongoing, the Cowboys QB seemed confident in himself, as he told Jon Machota of The Athletic.

I know the truth. I’m confident in what we filed. Very confident in what we filed. I know some things have changed in their sense in where they filed, but that doesn’t have any weighing on what we’re doing and how we’re going about our lawsuit.

He also said that this situation, in particular, has nothing to do with his uncertainty regarding his contract with the Dallas Cowboys, asserting that they’re separate issues.

WIll Prescott grab the bag again?

Prescott’s fine form in 2023 earned him Most Valuable Player shouts as he threw for 4516 yards with a 69.5% completion rate for 36 touchdowns, whilst his interceptions remained at nine and he was never sacked more than 40 times, as he became the Cowboys’ star of the season at the AT&T Stadium.

But now into his third decade of life, this could be his final big contract and he’s currently not broke earning a cool, guaranteed $160 million on his current four-year deal, but he won’t go chasing the money unlike some other people might decide to do.
