Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has officially been crowned as the NBA’s Clutch Player of the Year. Curry finished the season as the first player in clutch points, first in clutch threes, and first in fourth-quarter threes.

 

Curry hasn’t been widely known to be a clutch player, but most of that stigma comes in the playoffs. He edged guys like Demar Derozan, who is seen as one of the best go-to options in the fourth quarter.

Fans across the league are having a social media frenzy, chiming into Curry’s selection. Some believe it should have been crowned to another star, while others are finally giving Curry his flowers.

Curry attempted to will a depleted Warriors team to the playoffs, but even his second-half surges weren’t enough against most teams.
