Taylor Swift may not have enjoyed how Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs game played out, but the singer was likely boosted by the good news she received on Monday.

That’s because the nominations for the 81st annual Golden Globe Awards for 27 categories in film and television were revealed, with Swift up for a brand-new category.

 


Swift and her “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” is one of the nominees for cinematic and box office achievement. The other films nominated are:

Barbie” (Warner Bros. Pictures)

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vo. 3” (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures)
“John Wick: Chapter 4” (Lionsgate)
“Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1” (Paramount Pictures)

“Oppenheimer” (Universal Pictures)
“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” (Sony Pictures Releasing)
“The Super Mario Bros. Movie” (Universal Pictures)
“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” (AMC Theatres Distribution)
In order for films to qualify for the cinematic and box office achievement, they must make $150 million globally and $100 million domestically.

The film has proven to be a huge success thus far, and it will be available for rent on Wednesday. Swift has already announced that the streaming version will include the extra tracks “Wildest Dreams,” “Long Live” and “The Archer.”
