Ever since pop star Taylor Swift started dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, she’s been a hot topic in the NFL. Thus her music success is also spilling over into the world of sports nowadays. Her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” broke Spotify’s single-day streaming record in less than 12 hours.

Swift is now making headlines after Spotify confirmed her record-breaking achievement to Billboard. Now this happy news has caught the attention of former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III. Inspired by her success, he also proposed a fun idea for the Madden video game cover which is taking the internet by storm.

Robert Griffin III shares a record-breaking Madden cover idea

Former quarterback Robert Griffin III aka RGIII recently took to social media to celebrate Taylor Swift’s record-breaking success. “Taylor Swift’s new album The Tortured Poets Department SHATTERED the Spotify record for most streamed album in a single day in 2024 in less than 12 hours” he posted. Meanwhile, RG III also gave a cheeky proposal that “There is no doubt that this Madden Cover would lead to the greatest selling Madden Game of all time.” And he shared a picture of Taylor Swift kissing her boyfriend Travis Kelce, as a potential cover idea.

This suggestion might seem peculiar since Madden covers usually feature famous NFL stars. The last few covers featured iconic quarterbacks like Josh Allen, Tom Brady, and Patrick Mahomes. Madden NFL uses these famous faces to promote their video game series for the whole year. But there’s no denying that RGIII has a point here. Taylor Swift on the cover would be a huge marketing coup for the game. Her massive fanbase could bring in a whole new audience for Madden.
