LeBron James speaks up to remind Nuggets of their GOAT status after being called ‘trash’

LeBron James joked with his son Bryce about his talent and legacy.

LeBron James found himself in an awkward position as the Los Angeles Lakers prepared to face the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the NBA Playoffs . They called him “trash” right to his face before the series even started, but with the camera rolling, LeBron gave a response he wanted everyone to see.

LeBron addresses GOAT status

When James is challenged, he doesn’t back down. The viral video, recorded by his son, Bryce James, showed that LeBron definitely has his own opinion on who is the greatest of all time.

“I’m GOAT bro. GOAT what are you talking about? Stop playing with me,” said the NBA ‘s all-time leading scorer .

It took the hatred of his own son in the comfort of his own home for King James to feel the need to defend his legacy.

“You are trash!” shouted Bryce, 16, causing a strong reaction from his father.

Playing in flip-flops with a flat ball in the driveway, LeBron fired two shots in a row in response. They continued to talk trash to each other, and then LeBron finally closed things out with a look at Bryce that became a meme, followed by another shot.

“Using your three in the backyard before the game is crazy,” one fan joked on Twitter/X in response to the wholesome video.

The Lakers face the Nuggets with a lot at stake

When it comes to LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan GOAT debates, another ring would go a long way for the Lakers star. James has set all kinds of records with his high-level play in his 21st season, but even he admits he’s running out of time in the NBA to win more championships.

To do so, the red-hot Lakers will have to get past Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in the first round. Los Angeles has lost eight straight games to Denver, but coach Darvin Ham believes this time will be different with a healthy duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

The defending NBA champions are heavy favorites after sweeping the Lake Show in last year’s Western Conference Finals, but after seeing LeBron’s reaction to his son, they won’t dare blow up the GOAT.
