Man Utd is urged to recruit PLAYERS with the POTENTIAL to win the Golden Ball
Nigel Reo-Coker believes West Ham gem Lucas Paqueta is the type of player Manchester United should look to sign this summer.
Paqueta has once again excelled for West Ham this season after his move to Manchester City last year fell through. The Brazilian player continues to be linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium , but Reo-Coker believes that Man United should look to recruit him.
He said on BBC Radio 5 Live’s The Friday Football Social: “If there is a plan and direction, Man United can recruit players out there and then build a future with some of the younger players.”
Paqueta is performing well for West Ham.
“Someone like that is Paqueta at West Ham. He is someone who I think could join any team and is one of the few players in modern football who could win the Ballon d’Or in the future. “
The 26-year-old is a great signing for West Ham and the club will not want to lose him at the end of the season, by which time he will have three years left on his contract with the option to extend for a further 12 months
.
However, if Man City make a huge offer, they could be swayed, as was the case with Declan Rice’s move to Arsenal last summer.
