LeBron James praises Anthony Davis

LeBron James was all praise about teammate Anthony Davis after recording their first victory against the Denver Nuggets in the playoff series. The Nuggets had entered the game hoping to scrape the Lakers from the post-season tournament, but they couldn’t withstand Anthony Davis’ presence at both ends.

The 20-time All-Star spoke highly of Davis in a postgame press conference. Underlining Davis’ absolute supremacy, LeBron said, “AD doesn’t have to prove anything to anybody. He’s one of the best bigs in the world and he’s shown that through four games.”

The Lakers forward provided huge support to LeBron offensively in securing a 119-108 win. Although the Lakers suffered in the past three games, AD showcased his exceptional performance and scored the team-high points. With his stat line in Saturday’s game, Davis joined the Lakers’ list of the elites.

Anthony Davis Joins Lakers Legends In History Books

Anthony Davis set the court on fire with his marvelous rebounding in Game 4 against the Denver squad. Even after all the hardships of the Lakers duo LeBron James and Anthony Davis, when the Lakers failed to seize a win, AD decided to stand tall and grab 23 rebounds. He hit 11 of his 17 shots on target and finished the game with 25 points, 6 assists, and a block.

According to NBA History, Davis joined the LA franchise’s greats Wilt Chamberlain and Shaquille O’Neal for contributing a stat line of at least 25-20-5 on 60% free throws.

Anthony Davis averaged 30.5 points, 15.8 rebounds, and 4 assists in this playoff series, proving himself an essential asset for the Lakers both in the regular season and post-that. The Lakers will be led by their most potent duo on the road to face off Nikola Jokic and his Denver team on Monday, where they need to snatch the win to ensure none of them plans for an early vacation.
