Patrick Mahomes is opening up about the massive amount of attention surrounding teammate Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift.

The Chiefs are already used to being talked about a lot but they have never experienced anything like they have since Tight end Travis Kelce began a relationship with the pop icon.

In a new interview with ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, the Chiefs quarterback said the romance between Kelce and Swift hasn’t impacted the team’s focus and it is not a distraction.

“I don’t think it feels any different,” Mahomes said when asked if the attention feels “any bigger” compared to two Super Bowl wins.

“People see the whole Taylor Swift and Travis and they make it a huge deal because it is a huge deal, think it becomes a bigger deal to the fan bases than it does to the guys that are actually in the building. I’m lucky enough to meet Taylor and see how good of a person she is, I think you understand why it’s not become a distraction or anything like that because everybody cares about being the best they can be every day.”

With Swift attending Chiefs games this season, creating a massive influx of attention, every Kansas City game feels like the Super Bowl because even more millions of people are tuning in just because the pop star is in the stadium.

The Chiefs are coming off their bye week as they defeated the Miami Dolphins in Germany in a huge matchup. Kelce spent his bye week by taking a trip to Argentina to see Swift open her international dates on her Eras Tour in Buenos Aires. Swift and Kelce went viral as the former ran up to the latter after her concert and shared a kiss before walking offstage.

Now it’s back to football as the Chiefs enter a Super Bowl rematch with the Philadelphia Eagles in Kansas City on Monday night. Swift is expected to be at Arrowhead Stadium.
