New Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels’ mother went viral during the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night.

The reigning Heisman Trophy winner was selected as the No. 2 overall pick on the night. He shared a heartfelt embrace with his mother, Regina Jackson, after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell called his name.

The QB’s mom immediately began trending online.

“The ESPN camera person got the camera on Jayden Daniels Mom like she’s a top rated prospect,” one X user wrote. “I see you bruh.“

Jayden Daniels Can’t Wait To Get To Work In Washington

Daniels was the QB most linked with the Washington Commanders throughout the draft process. There was some talk that he was hoping to avoid getting picked by the NFC outfit, but the new Commanders QB has said he can’t wait to begin working with the team.

“I was pretty confident based off the conversations we had,” he told reporters via the Commanders’ YouTube channel. “I’m here now, and I can’t wait to get to work.”

Daniels seems an awesome fit for offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury’s system. So, things will certainly be interesting in Washington in 2024.
