Bronny James in jersey. Elon Musk in suit with his hands touching

As soon as news came out that Bronny James collapsed during a workout at USC, it was not hard to see that thousands, if not millions of people would start blaming the situation on one thing.

Elon Musk is one of those people.

The Athletic reported on Tuesday that James went into cardiac arrest during a Monday basketball practice at USC’s Galen Center. He was taken to the hospital and was treated in the ICU. James is now in stable condition.

The Twitter CEO floated the possibility that the vaccine is to blame for LeBron James’ son, USC star freshman Bronny James, suffering a cardiac arrest during a basketball workout in Los Angeles on Monday. Bronny, the highly touted 18-year-old son of the Lakers superstar, lost consciousness before being revived by medical staff.

Musk, the Tesla CEO who purchased Twitter for $44 billion, tweeted Tuesday, “We cannot ascribe everything to the vaccine, but, by the same token, we cannot ascribe nothing.”

“Myocarditis is a known side-effect,” Musk continued.

“The only question is whether it is rare or common.”

LeBron James has said in the past that his family has been vaccinated against COVID.

There is no credible reporting that the COVID vaccine caused James to go into cardiac arrest during a workout on Monday.

In rare cases, COVID-19 vaccines can cause a type of heart inflammation called myocarditis, and the issue is more common among young men, but it still remains unclear if the 18-year-old had myocarditis.

Young men are at greater risk of developing more severe myocarditis with COVID-19. Other than that, there are a multitude of other reasons why James’ heart might’ve stopped pumping on the court.

LeBron James has said he hopes to play in the NBA with Bronny, who was a four-star recruit after starring at Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles.
