This year’s showdown with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce taking on NBA teammates Steph Curry and Klay Thompson was heavily attended as adults and kids showed up to see these stars compete against each other.

Patrick Mahomes is arguably the best quarterback in the league, so fans see him and want his autograph. However, he is catching heat for not signing for one kid at The Match event.

Mahomes, making his fourth appearance in the celebrity event, was signing too many autographs during one of his rounds and had to shut down some fans who were calling for him to come over.

That wasn’t too bad until he had to turn down a kid for one and had to hear his father get upset about it.

“I can’t make everybody happy,” Mahomes says, to which the dad replies, “No, you can, you can just make one kid happy out of 100.”

“I’ll make 99 sad,” Mahomes sniped back.

Mahomes was clearly not being a jerk about it, but some people still felt as if he should’ve signed anyway.

The two-time NFL Super Bowl champion will move past this situation as he gets ready for the 2023 season and tries to go back-to-back after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl back in February. Mahomes and his team ended up clinching the Super Bowl win, and he was crowned Most Valuable Player for the game.

Mahomes led the NFL in passing yards (5,250), passing touchdowns (41), offensive yards (5,614), and offensive TDs (45). He was named the 2022 regular season MVP. It was the second time Mahomes won the award in his young career.

It is amazing the type of numbers he put up after the team traded away Tyreek Hill, his most dangerous weapon, to the Miami Dolphins last offseason.
