Stephen A. Smith Talks About LeBron James Being GOAT

LeBron James has often been pitted against NBA legend Michael Jordan for the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) debate. While many have crowned him as the GOAT, some feel he still does not have enough accolades even after shattering record after record in his 21-season-long career. To add to that list, Stephen A. Smith now provides Bron with yet another task that will close the never-ending discussion if he succeeds.

Smith, who once hailed Jordan as the GOAT, stated that he would change his mind depending on the championship win this season. While discussing the much talked about playoff fixture between the Denver Nuggets and LA Lakers on ‘First Take’, the NBA analyst said, “If LeBron James & the Lakers beat the defending NBA champion Nuggets, they could win it all… Michael Jordan is the greatest player of all time… I don’t know how strong my argument is going to be on behalf of MJ moving forward.”

While it is difficult to acquire, the 39-year-old has shown the passion to bag the Larry O’Brien trophy this season. On winning the title, the 4-time champion will get a bonus vote from Smith for the debate.

There have been speculations going on about this upcoming game which is a rematch of last year’s Western Conference Finals. The LA franchise not only lost that series but continued to lose the regular season games against Denver this season as well. The Los Angeles side would want to end the winning drought in this seven-game series but the dominance of the Nuggets cannot be ignored. The enormous hype surrounding the game might be pulsating for the neutrals, but it has annoyed LBJ.

LeBron James voices displeasure over too much hype surrounding Lakers vs Nuggets

The exciting first-round clash between the Lakers and Nuggets has drawn a lot of attention which displeased LeBron James. In a post-practice interview on Thursday, the 20-time All-Star said, “I think you’re putting a little bit too much emphasis on it.”

He continued to add, “This is our first-round matchup. I mean, we’re looking forward to the postseason. But I haven’t been, like, looking forward to the rematch. The game is played how it’s being played, and this is the matchup. So we’re looking forward to that challenge.” Disapproving the idea that some people have regarding his revenge in this series, Bron stated that he has no personal motive and will stick to their original game plan.

The Nuggets have had supremacy over the Lakers in their last eight meetings, however, as Nuggets’ Michael Malone and Nikola Jokic said it’s a different series which might have a difference. At least that’s what King James would want now since his time on the court is getting shorter with each passing day.
