The son of Pro Football Hall of Famer and former wide receiver Terrell Owens is following his dad’s footsteps and heading to the West Coast.
Terique is one of many second-generation NFL players for the 2024 rookie class.
In his final season at Missouri State, Terique hauled in 28 receptions for 528 yards and four touchdowns.
Terique joins a San Francisco offense loaded with superstar playmakers in McCaffrey, wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk and tight end George Kittle. The 49ers reached Super Bowl 58 last season, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime.
Terrell Owens Is A 49ers Legend
The San Francisco 49ers drafted Terrell Owens in the third round (89th overall) back in 1996 following a stellar career at Chattanooga. Little did they know that another future Hall of Famer would emerge to form a prolific duo with Jerry Rice.
As Rice began to head into his twilight years, Owens emerged as the 49ers’ new No. 1 receiver. His legend began back in the 1998 Wild Card Round against the Green Bay Packers, when Owens caught a game-winning TD pass from Steve Young in the waning seconds.
Owens hit the 1,000-yard mark five times during eight-year run with San Francisco. He left the franchise with 592 career receptions for 8,572 yards and 81 touchdowns.
