The Los Angeles Lakers appear to be sure to make it to the Play-In round this year. The squad has to be ready for the postseason because it is quickly approaching after losing to the Warriors. With two games left in the regular season, the Lakers might advance to the ninth or eighth seed before the tournament starts.

It’s doubtful that LeBron James will play against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night. Although the Los Angeles Lakers superstar is listed as injured, he is anticipated to play. James was sick but still participated in the last game. Even though the Lakers are vying for a seventh or eighth seed, James is unlikely to skip the game.

Ninety percent of the Grizzlies starting lineup is out of commission. The Lakers have a fantastic opportunity to win this game and improve their chances of climbing the standings after falling back into 10th place following the Golden State Warriors’ victory against the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday.

LeBron James wore a suit in the Lakers’ most recent game against the Warriors. According to the NBA website, he finished with 33 points, 11 assists, and seven rebounds. Due to flu-like symptoms, he missed the Lakers’ last game; Davis took on Minnesota on Monday.

LeBron James Is an Important Factor for Lakers as They Move Towards Postseason

According to the team’s injury report, LeBron James had flu-like symptoms for the previous two games. According to his injury report for Friday’s game, he has been struggling with left ankle peroneal tendinopathy since January 4.

Because of this injury, James has missed seven of his eight games since the All-Star break. Without James, the Lakers have a 6-5 record this season. James and Davis have struggled to repeat after winning their first championship together in 2020. Despite his consistent success on the court, the former Pelicans big man has struggled with injuries for a while.

Conversely, LeBron James has been fantastic for the Lakers despite being close to 40 years old. The King has made 70 appearances this season despite injury worries. He has been a reliable player on the floor.

James is set to become a free agent this summer, so it will be intriguing to watch whether the Lakers can straighten things up and extend James’ contract. Signing James’s son Bronny might be a viable alternative for the Purple and Gold.
