It all started when the Washington Post was released with the 37-year-old actress’s statement that turned the 60-year-old actor into a culprit overnight. Depp was almost shunned by Hollywood as he lost many projects after the article came to light.

The Cry-Baby actor tied the knot with the actress in the year 2015 and their divorce was finalized in 2017. Right after the Op-ed caught everyone’s eyeball it affected Depp’s professional life. In almost everyone’s eye, the 61-year-old actor was an abuser and no one wanted to work with him.

The Sleepy Hollow actor sued his ex-wife in the year 2019 and their trial reportedly started on 11 April 2022. The case was being televised and every drama inside the court was being witnessed by the people.

Depp’s talent manager during the trial testified in the court that the actor lost his role in the sixth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. The manager also mentioned that it was a $22.5 million deal and he was rejected by the makers since the op-ed by Heard came out.
