The Marvels was released it was critically panned. However, it  has managed to become a fan favorite in recent times. The film features Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, and Samuel L. Jackson, some of the most renowned names in the film industry. It has already won the hearts of the fans despite having poor CGI, the chemistry of the main cast saves the day.

However, some haters of the film, give some unwanted criticism to Nia DaCosta stating how she is unfit to direct big projects under a big name like Marvel Studiosas she has never worked on a successful big project. Adding how her first big film was a flop at the box office as well.

People Bomb Nia DaCosta with Unjust Criticism

As The Marvels was released in the theatres, the film gathered mixed responses from the fans and mostly negative responses from the critics as they unremorsefully bashed the film for its flaws and poor CGI. In contrast, the film gathered an 85% score from the audience on Rotten Tomatoes, as they found the film entertaining to watch.

However, some of the haters were not having it, as they went onto Twitter to highlight her with unwarranted criticism. A user (@__RiseAgain__) tweeted how she had “directed only one feature before” which happened to be the 2021 horror film, Candyman but that was also a flop.

The director of the Marvels had only directed one feature before.

It was the failed retelling of Candyman.

However, fans were quick to jump to support Nia DaCosta on the social media platform, as a fan tweeted that the tweet is factually incorrect in a plethora of ways and that the film is her third feature film, while her 2021 film has a rating of 84% on Rotten Tomatoes.
