Former assistant accuses ‘Fast and Furious’ star Vin Diesel of assaulting s:e:xual at Buckhead hotel

Several Hollywood actors including Jonathan Majors and Sean Combs have faced sexual assault allegations recently. Carrying forward the #MeToo movement, many women have come forward against these heavyweight Hollywood artists. Joining the list next is the ‘Fast and Furious’ fame Vin Diesel.

Diesel’s ex-assistant has come up with some severe allegations against the actor. Asta Jonasson, who assisted Diesel in 2010 in Georgia during a movie shoot, has filed a lawsuit against him detailing multiple sexual assault crimes committed against her.

Asta has claimed that she was working as an assistant for Diesel while he was filming ‘Fast and Furious 5’ in 2010. The lawsuit mentions that the complainant first saw Diesel with multiple women in his suite at the St. Regis in Atlanta.

Asta says she was asked to usher Vin Diesel out of the suite after the last woman left, to avoid media attention. When she reached there, she alleges that the actor forcibly grabbed her, groped her breast, and kissed her. Asta resisted it, but the actor did not stop.

The situation further escalated as Diesel lifted her dress and tried to pull down her underwear, Asta claimed in the lawsuit. Diesel then pinned her against the wall and forcefully put her hands on his private parts. The actor then pulled down his underwear and started masturbating while still leaning against her.

Confused and traumatized by what was happening, Jonasson says she kept her eyes closed as he continued. After the actor finished, he pulled up his shorts and said, “No one can say s**t about Asta” and left the room, the former assistant has claimed in the lawsuit.

Jonasson also claimed that she was fired hours after the assault. She was given no concrete reason other than the fact that she was not needed anymore. Jonasson believes she was fired because she resisted Diesel during the assault.

Asta said in the lawsuit that she remained silent for many years because of the power and fame that Diesel holds in the Hollywood industry. She also cited her immigration status as a green card holder as one of the reasons for her fear. But the #MeToo movement empowered her to come forward, she said.

The woman has sued Vin Diesel, as well as his sister, and One Race Films for sexual battery, wrongful termination, and a hostile work environment. None of Diesel’s representatives have responded to the allegations.
