Undoubtedly, actor Bruce Willis managed to captivate the audience with his remarkable acting skills and strong on-screen presence. The actor made his acting debut in 1980 and went on to become an action icon in the entertainment industry. Unfortunately, the actor was forced to retire as the actor suffers from frontotemporal dementia, a condition where the area of the brain that controls language expression and comprehension has been affected.

Three years before he was diagnosed with the condition, the actor worked with an Auto Parts company to appear in an advertisement alongside fellow actor De’voreaux White. Willis worked with White in 1988’s Die Hard, which is one of the best films in Willis’ filmography. White recalled how his last meeting with Willis before his diagnosis was “awesome.”

Actor De’voreaux White appeared as Argyle, the limousine driver, in 1988’s Die Hard. In an interview with DailyMail, White explained that he met his Die Hard co-star Bruce Willis once again after more than 30 years but it was his last meeting with the actor before he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia,

“I said, ‘Where the f**k have you been? I could have been dead by now!’ We both looked at each other. And then he just put his hand over his mouth, and he bit down. Oh, I just started laughing – and we hugged and everything. And that’s what occurred. The experience was awesome. Oh, it was awesome.”

White met Willis in 2019 when the two appeared together in an advertisement for an Auto Parts company. For White, Willis will always remain as an idol who inspired him to become an actor.

Those who worked in films with Willis between 2021 and 2022 explained that the actor appeared confused on the sets and did not understand why he was there. In March 2022, the actor’s family announced that he was retiring because he had been diagnosed with aphasia, a disorder that affected his ability to control language expression and comprehension.

In February 2023, Willis’s family announced that he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. Due to this condition, it was not safe for Willis to be on movie sets and unfortunately, his career was cut short. With a remarkable filmography, Willis has established himself as a legendary actor who will inspire many aspiring actors.
