Kylie Jenner, the half-sister of the internationally renowned Kim Kardashian, is said to have lost hundreds of thousands of followers on the popular photo and video-sharing app Instagram in a few days after publishing a message in favour of Israel.

Jenner, one of Instagram’s most-followed users, uploaded a post on Instagram stories feature on Saturday in solidarity with Israel, as Hamas rebels launched a surprise attack on Israel from Gaza, firing a barrage of rockets and crossing into Israeli territory.

The 26-year-old faced a deluge of criticism for the post, with many asking where she stood on the issue of Palestinians slain in the recent escalation of hostilities or during decades of Israeli rule. Kylie appeared to remove the news post shortly after it was shared.

Kylie’s following count has reportedly since dropped from 400 million to 399 million as of Tuesday afternoon. Which means that she lost one million followers soon after her post.
A lot of people criticized Kylie for getting involved in political matters and expressing support for Israel, and some replied by putting up Palestinian flags. Many also criticized her for deleting the pro-Israel message following the uproar.

Earlier, Netizens had also shared disappointment in comments, a user stated, “Kylie Jenner, Ashley Tisdale, Sofia Richie and Nina Dobrev have ALL came out in support of Israel, the country that is KILLING innocent. Palestinian citizens and children to steal their land. LET IT BE KNOWN they are LITERALLY SUPPORTING the GENOCIDE of the people of Palestine.”

While another one wrote, “Kylie Jenner reportedly has deleted an Instagram story showing support for Israel… Why do celebs act dumb and spineless…”

This isn’t the first time Kylie has faced the wrath on her social media accounts and lost followers. Earlier, Kylie faced a dent in followers, when the Instagram and Twitter users believed she had waded into the massive feud between Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez.
