He may be known for his professional accolades in the film industry for portraying the iconic character of James Bond in the 007 franchise for 15 years, but Daniel Craig is also a happy family man who loves the company of his daughters and wife. He doesn’t talk about his family in public because he likes to keep it private and quiet, away from all the paparazzi.

But one thing that he doesn’t believe as a father is leaving his children with the millions of dollars he has made in his career so far, which stems from his belief that inheritance money is distasteful. In the past, he opened up about how he wanted to spoil his children as much as he could and not leave any form of inheritance wealth for them.

When a star plays the character of James Bond in his career, he is forever tagged as Bond for the rest of his life, unless you’re Daniel Craig, who has branched into other projects and genres in the industry and has created a legacy.

And with that legacy, comes a lot of financial gains, which Craig has no shortage of considering his $160 Million fortune.

But according to him, all of his wealth is for him to enjoy, which is why his children will not be getting much of it. In a past interview with Candis Magazine (via CNBC), the Logan Lucky star opened up about how he feels the idea of leaving inheritance wealth for your children is distasteful.

Being the father of two daughters, he wishes to spoil them with the money that he has now rather than leave a hefty chunk of it for them when he finally bids farewell to the world. He said:

Considering that his younger daughter is only four years old, and his 31-year-old elder daughter Ella Craig is an upcoming model in the industry, he doesn’t have to think too much about leaving too much of his wealth for them.

While many stars may somewhat struggle to find their footing in the industry after completing their tenure as Bond in the 007 franchise, Craig found himself becoming part of another successful franchise instantly.

Before leaving the Ionic franchise for good, Craig made an impact with his performance as detective Benoit Blanc in 2019’s mystery film Knives Out, which was hailed as a revolution in the old detective genre of films.

Since then, the star has become a constant in the franchise that the film gave birth to, which was continued with Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and will continue with Netflix taking the rights for sequels and spin-offs in the future.
