Finding itself wrapped up in the personal life of the actress, the film’s performance was tampered with after she was featured in the film despite losing the defamation case against Depp. Fans were extremely upset with this fact, so much so, that they collectively decided to boycott this film.

This is, perhaps the reason why it took this long for this movie to make its way onto streaming services. However, now that it has, finally been made available to be watched on Netflix, fans seem to have had a change of heart.

Many fans were warning those who had not seen the movie to not watch it, referring to it as an awful film. Some were underwhelmed by this news, stating that the film wasn’t worth a watch in 2018, so why would it be worth a watch now? One fan even went as far as to say that the time they would spend watching this film could be better used on things like learning a language. It is safe to say that the feelings that fans now have toward a once-beloved film are not positive.
