In a recent radio interview with Big Boy, released on Wednesday (Jan. 11), the rapper known for hits like “In da Club” expressed his newfound inclination to apologize to Megan Thee Stallion. He admitted that his previous skepticism about her claims regarding an intimate relationship with Tory Lanez shifted after the trial shed light on the 2020 shooting incident.

“I’m going to offer my apologies to Megan Thee Stallion,” 50 Cent told Big Boy during the interview (at the 7:50 mark). “I made certain remarks because… On social media, I shared my doubts when she was asked by Gayle [King] if she had been intimate with Tory Lanez, and she responded with a ‘What?’ followed by a denial. I thought, ‘She must be lying.’

I felt there was no reason for them to be together. But hearing the [jail] phone conversation [between Lanez and Meg’s former best friend Kelsey Harris] changed my perspective. It made me realize what actually transpired. I’m sure that revelation likely influenced opinions in the courtroom as well.”

50 Cent’s apology followed his previous Instagram post in December where he likened Megan to Jussie Smollett, the actor who falsely claimed to be a victim of a hate crime in 2019. He wrote, “Damn I’m confused all this sh– going around I don’t know what to think LOL.”
