Stephen Curry has shown all the qualities of the best player ever since he debuted. The Golden State Warriors have seen remarkable success since Curry joined the team. His extraordinary skills and performances have made him a fan favorite.

The popularity of Curry has grown so significantly that the fans find it difficult to imagine the NBA without Curry. However, for the Warriors star, that day would come if and when this one thing happens.

Notably, Curry entered the league in 2009 after signing a contract with the Warriors. Ever since then, he has been loyal to the team and has not played for any other. Curry’s journey has been an inspiring one and he continues to add more laurels to his name. He has played a total of 912 games in his NBA career, wherein, he had an average score of 24.7 points, 4.7 total rebounds, and 6.4 assists.

During an appearance on the ‘SmartLess‘ podcast, Curry spoke about his joy and calmness when he is on the court. He touched upon how he is still a little kid despite being in the league for 15 years. Furthermore, Curry discussed how if he ever loses that calmness and joy, that will be his last day on the court. He said, “If I ever lose that, then I know it will be time to quit.” 

Furthermore, Curry revealed that the work and business of the sport creeps in from time to time. He talked about how so much goes into putting a team together. In addition to this, he said, “The ups and downs of an 82-game schedule, the pressures of performing every single night.” However, the pure joy that he feels when he steps foot on the floor is what keeps him going and makes him feel alive.

Stephen Curry would like to own an NBA team after retiring

Stephen Curry has been in the headlines throughout his illustrious career and this will likely be the case even when he retires. The highest-paid player in the NBA once discussed his post-retirement plans which made fans excited. Turns out, the Warriors star would make a comeback to the league after he retires but as an owner of a team.

In an interview with NBC Sports Bay Area, Curry discussed about the same. He touched upon how the business side of the league is fascinating to understand. Further, he spoke about how the NBA has changed so much over the past 15 years. “Hopefully I’ll be still playing for a good while,” Curry added. The Warriors star talked about being a part of an ownership group guiding the league into hopefully its super prime time is exciting.

 

Furthermore, he said, “I just want to be a part of an ownership group that is as excited as I would be to obviously win.” He talked about being in a position to connect with the fans through this ownership and making use of the knowledge he gets from his playing career. In addition to this, the Warriors star said that he could add some value over there and he is looking forward to doing so.
