On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will host the Miami Heat in California.

For the game, the Lakers could be without their best player, as LeBron James is on the injury report.

James has played in 31 games so far this season and is averaging 25.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 53.5% from the field and 40.9% from the three-point range.

The Lakers are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 17-17 record in their first 34 games.

Over the last ten games, they are 3-7, and they are also in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Most recently, the Lakers lost to the Pelicans (in New Orleans) by a score of 129-109.

In 37 minutes of playing time, James had 34 points, five rebounds, eight assists and one block while shooting 12/24 from the field and 3/7 from the three-point range.

Following the Heat, the Lakers will remain in Los Angeles to host Desmond Bane and the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday evening.

As for the Heat, they are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 19-14 record in their first 33 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 6-4 over their last ten games.

Following the Lakers, the Heat will travel to Arizona to face off against the Phoenix Suns on Friday.
