In typically subtle fashion, Miley Cyrus appeared on Jimmy Kimmel LiveWednesday wearing a sequined cape and pasties – and then chatted about boobs with Kimmel for six minutes.

“You are almost naked,” Kimmel greeted Cyrus, after the singer noted that she was feeling cold. “Where do you get an outfit like this?”

After a few seconds during which Kimmel pondered where to focus his gaze, the visibly “flustered” host told Cyrus, “I’m still a little bit flustered by your – ”

“Tits,” she interrupted, as Kimmel finished his sentence with “outfit.”

In the lengthy conversation that ensued, Cyrus described her breasts as an occasional “icebreaker” in conversations like one that she had with Paul McCartney backstage at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

“Humans aren’t afraid of the human breast. It’s the nipple that’s the issue,” she noted. “I’m showing my boobs and no one has a problem, but the nipples are covered, so somehow that’s okay.

America’s actually fine with tits. It’s nipples they don’t like. … Which is insane, because the nipple, what you can’t show, everyone has. But the jug part that everyone doesn’t, you’re allowed to show underboob.”

Asked what her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, thinks about her sartorial choices, Cyrus responded: “He’d rather me have my tits out and be a good person than have a shirt on and be a bitch. I see a lot of people with their clothes on, and they’re kind of assholes.”

She’s got a point!
