“One thing about Cardi is she always on point with fashion,” reads one comment beneath Cardi B’s latest Instagram post. We couldn’t agree more. Scroll down the artist’s feed and her unapologetically bold style is easy to see, even in her off-duty ‘fits.
Yep, whether she’s wowing on the front row in three sequinned gowns in 24 hours during Paris Fashion Week or coordinating with Shakira in a breastplate for the duo’s music video, Cardi never fails to deliver a style slay. And her most recent look that earned the aforementioned comment is no exception.
We’ve heard of clashing patterns, but what about clashing aesthetics? Posing in her spacious hallway (that rivals some of the most luxurious hotels we’ve ever seen with the XL floral arrangement decorating her console table), Cardi paired an anime crop top with a checked pleated mini skirt for a preppy grunge look.
Knee-high white socks with black bows and platform Mary Jane heels completed the look. Cardi added a further bow in the form of a white ribbon tied in her hair that was pulled into a high ponytail with an XL bouffant. Blair Waldorf could never.
Perhaps the most impressive part of Cardi’s attire was the fact she’d managed to perfectly coordinate her ensemble’s colour palette to that of her leg tattoo, which peeked out beneath the skirt’s micro hemline.
Cardi shared a look at the peacock tattoo that spans her hip in 2020, after the inking was updated ten years on from originally having it done.
Cardi’s tattoos are almost as iconic as she is, so we love that she made them a part of her outfit.
Beyonce Hops On To Public Transport With Husband Jay-Z On Her Japan Trip
Singer-songwriter Beyonce is enjoying her time in Japan to the fullest. The ‘Cowboy Carter’ hitmaker has documented her trip with husband Jay-Z through a series of snapshots shared on her Instagram.
Giving her 319 million followers with a rare glimpse into her private life, Beyonce struck poses in various glamorous outfits, reports ‘Mirror.co.uk’.
Sporting a dark-coloured skin-tight catsuit, the 42-year-old turned heads while exploring sightseeing spots, even appearing to use public transportation for an excursion.
According to ‘Mirror.co.uk’, her initial upload seemed to be taken in the couple’s hotel room as they prepared to depart.
In another playful snapshot, Beyonce posed as a cowgirl, mimicking gun fingers while donning a cowgirl hat. She accessorised her fitting ensemble with bold chunky gold jewellery, including earrings and a Chloe name-plated belt.
A video clip seemed to capture the couple strolling through a transportation terminal, accompanied by their security team. They also shared a moment together, sitting side by side on a train, with Beyonce smiling at her husband.
Another clip, likely filmed by Jay-Z, depicted Beyonce gazing out the window at the breathtaking view of Mount Fuji.
The final upload showed a variation of what appeared to be the hotel snapshot, this time with a black and white filter applied.
Cardi B hit the streets of New York City this weekend in celebration of the unofficial holiday known as 420. While the Bronx native has previously denied being a weed smoker, that didn’t stop her from getting a bag from her latest hosting gig, a 420 party at NYC hot spot Whisper.
The “Enough (Miami)” rapper arrived with her best friend, Star Brim, a fellow Bronx native who knew Cardi before the fame. The two took selfies shared to Instagram before heading out to party with the club full of fans and friends. Star documented the good time on her own Instagram Stories, showing the duo twerking with Don Julio bottles in-hand and dancing to songs like Latto’s “Put It On The Floor Again,” Popcorn’s “Family” and Cash Cobain’s “Fisherrr.”
The celebratory night out comes one month after Star Brim was sentenced in her RICO case, as Brim, born Yonette Respass, was initially brought up along with 17 other alleged gang members on charges in February 2020. Star was specifically charged with participating in a racketeering conspiracy and with ordering a slashing, while others within the 59 Brims Blood subset were brought up on charges including two murders and five attempted murders. For her charges, Star is set to serve one year and one day in prison, followed by three years of supervised probation.
