Alan Ritchson Has Not Gotten James Gunn’s Approval Yet But Jerry Bruckheimer Has High Hopes From The Reacher Star

While James Gunn is yet to approve of him, Alan Ritchson has earned the praise from Jerry Bruckheimer.

"If you make the right choices...": Alan Ritchson Has Not Gotten James Gunn's Approval Yet But Jerry Bruckheimer Has High Hopes From The Reacher Star

SUMMARY

Alan Ritchson’s success in “Reacher” has elevated his fame significantly, earning him high praise from producer Jerry Bruckheimer for his talent and dedication.
Bruckheimer sees Ritchson as a potential big action star or movie star in the making, as long as he makes wise career choices.

Alan Ritchson is currently raging as one of those actors in Hollywood whom fans just can’t get enough of. And the credit for such acclaim goes to his truly outstanding acting chops, coupled with his absolutely breathtaking physique. But despite this, the 41-year-old actor is yet to get approved by James Gunn to star as Batman in his upcoming version of the DC Universe.

However, while Gunn is yet to consent to his casting as the fan-favorite superhero, Ritchson has earned that commendation and high hopes from producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who couldn’t help but praise him for his magnificent onscreen presence. In fact, Bruckheimer is so impressed with the actor that he even expects him to become a big action star soon enough!

Alan Ritchson Earns High Praise from Jerry Bruckheimer

Even though he was already renowned, Ritchson’s success with the superhit series Reacher has further launched his fame to extraordinary levels. In fact, his performance has even earned him high praise from one of the most prominent producers in Hollywood!

This renowned producer is none other than Jerry Bruckheimer. Famous for producing films like the ones from the Pirates of the Caribbean saga, Bruckheimer was recently seen gushing on and on in praise for Ritchson for his incredible acting skills.

This happened during a recent interview with CBR, where Bruckheimer expressed commendation for the actor as he said:

“He [Alan Ritchson] is enormously talented. He brings fun to it. He’s a really dedicated actor, worked very hard. Smart on top of it.

That’s not all; the National Treasure producer even shared that the Ordinary Angels actor is more than worthy of becoming “a big action star, or a big movie star.” That is, as long as he sticks to making the right choices in his career.

Claiming that “it’s all about choices for an actor,” Bruckheimer said:

“If you make the wrong choices, you don’t. We’ve seen so many actors who have gone on to be phenomenal crowd-pleasers, and you’ve seen actors who’ve faded away.”

That being said, considering his performance in the two-season Prime Video series and his other recent projects, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare actor seems to be on the right track as of now. But even that hasn’t earned him the approval of filmmaker James Gunn.

Meanwhile, James Gunn is Yet to Approve of Him for Batman

While his latest projects have launched him as one of the most famous actors in the entertainment industry, there is still one feat that Ritchson is yet to achieve: Gain the approval of the co-CEO of DC Studios, James Gunn, to play Batman in his version of the DCU.

As fans already know, the Blue Mountain State star has already expressed his interest in starring as the lead Batman in Gunn’s DCU. This first happened when he appeared in BroBible’s Post Credit Podcast, where he shared that he would “absolutely love” to play the superhero.

However, as of now, Gunn hasn’t given any response to him on this matter. Plus, the only thing known about Batman: The Brave and the Bold, the film that would mark Batman’s debut in Gunn’s DCU, is that it doesn’t even have a script yet.

Thus, because of these facts, Ritchson’s casting as the superhero he considers “one of the coolest characters of all time” currently sounds like a far-fetched dream.

All of this being said, so far, Ritchson’s career is ostensibly heading in the right direction — with or without his casting as Batman in Gunn’s DCU — and will continue to do so as long as he keeps Bruckheimer’s piece of advice in mind.
