Alan Ritchson is the new king of laid-back style
French sunglasses and Italian jackets are a sure-fire recipe for success

Alan Ritchson has shown time and time again that he is a man of many, many talents. From his modelling career with Abercrombie & Fitch to his time on American Idol, his CV is an absolute beast.
All of this, and we haven’t even mentioned his giant filmography yet. The Reacher star has got to be one of the most gifted guys in Hollywood, so it shouldn’t come as too much of a shocker that, when it comes to menswear, he does that incredibly well, too.
Spotted in New York City with his wife Catherine, Ritchson greeted fans, flashed his pearly whites to the cameras, and threw up more peace signs that you could physically imagine.
He’s always been a nice dude like that. On this rare occasion though, the North Dakota-born actor took a break from his usual suits and tailored trousers in favour of something a little more laid-back and a little more chill.

Up top, he slipped on a pair of Celine sunglasses and a white shirt with the top two buttons undone (obviously). He then layered all of this with a brown leather bomber jacket. But this isn’t just any ol’ brown leather bomber jacket.
This one’s by Brunello Cucinelli and it’s crafted in Italy from some of the most premium calfskin leather known to man. It’s very clean and it’s very simple, and it’s the perfect piece for those days where you just want to do nothing but vibe.
Down south, Ritchson jumped into some Jack Reacher-esque cargo pants, and he finished off the fit with the Amiri MA-1 in the ‘Alabaster’ colourway.
Regarded by many sneakerheads as the a supercharged version of the Nike Air Force 1, it features a luxe mesh and suede construction, a terry-cloth inner lining, and an extra chunky midsole. It’s the kinda trainer that you get if you’re looking for something minimal, but not basic. They’re two very different things.
The whole thing is a lesson in laid-back dressing. So, while you may never look like Alan Ritchson, or sing like Alan Ritchson, or act like Alan Ritchson, at least you can dress like Alan Ritchson.
