Kevin James and Alan Ritchson will be part of Playdate, which will be filmed in Vancouver starting next month
The movie ‘Playdate’ is being filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, starting next month, and it will feature two actors, Kevin James and Alan Ritchson, with Luke Greenfield serving as its director, following the screenplay written by Neil Goldman.
The story of two fathers who settle down together at home during a typical playdate becomes an unexpected element in the story. The event quickly becomes a chaotic and hazardous event, leading the group to become ensnared in a murderous plot.
Greenfield’s directing credits include ‘The Girl Next Door’ and ‘Half Brothers,’ the newest comedy film in his portfolio.
In the past few months, Goldman has exhibited his writing abilities in different shows like ‘HouseBroken’ and ‘Shrinking.’ He has also collaborated on the CBS comedy series ‘Superior Donuts.’The sports drama ‘Home Team’ on Netflix featured James as the ex-head coach of the New Orleans Saints, along with Taylor Lautner. The movie focuses on Coach Payton, who was suspended for the entire 2012 season for his involvement in the BountyGate scandal involving the Saints. James also starred in ‘The Crew’ on Netflix, portraying Kevin Gibson, a NASCAR crew chief who finds himself on the dole of a tight-lipped race car crew and their relationship.
The Prime Video program ‘Reacher’ stars Ritchson as the roving ex-military policeman, Jack Reacher, who practices street justice while engaging in crime-fixing. He was also seen in ‘Fast X’ and ‘Titans’ as Hank Hall, with his previous appearances in ‘Dark Web: Cicada 3301’ and ‘Fast X’ as Agent Carver.
Several recently released movies, including ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ and ‘Death and Other Details,’ were previously filmed in Vancouver, which is also the movie’s main film location.
