As a result, nothing really shocks people anymore when it comes to the Leaving Las Vegas star. And now, in classic Nicolas Cage fashion, in a recent interview he talked about the earliest memories of his life, and, well, the netizens have things to say about that quite predictably.

Appearing in a recent episode of Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show, Nicolas Cage talked about his career and life, and even shared ideas about what happens after death. Answering Colbert’s questionnaire on the topic of the earliest memories in his life, he answered that his memories might as well go back to his mother’s womb. He explained,
“Let me think. Listen, I know this sounds really far out and I don’t know if it’s real or not, but sometimes I think I can go all the way back to in-utero and feeling like I could see faces in the dark or something.”

Cage also noted that he is aware of how “powerfully abstract” that sounds, but somehow it seems to him like it could have happened. He further elaborated that now that he is,
“No longer in utero, I would have to imagine it was perhaps vocal vibrations resonating through to me at that stage. That’s going way back. I don’t know. That comes to mind… I don’t even know if I remember being in utero, but that thought has crossed my mind.”
Well, his comment even with his explanations did not go over quite smoothly with the internet. And Twitterati, predictably took this opportunity to express their thoughts on this matter, in fact, quite hilariously to be fair.
