The second season is based on Lee Child’s book novel Bad Luck and Trouble, which is the 11th title in his long-running series that has amassed 26 novels in total.

How does Reacher Season 2 end?

Reacher, Dixon, Neagley and O'Donnell in the diner

Reacher finally comes face to face with Shane Langston at his facility to rescue O’Donnell and Dixon from the Season 2 villain. Frances Neagley is on hand with her sniper rifle, and she secures the perimeter by killing Langston’s henchman who are standing guard. She also lets Lavoy’s men know they are ready for their help.

Langston is punching Reacher, who is tied up. He’s not happy that his Little Wing retirement plan has gone awry and reveals things started to go wrong when Swan, Franz, Orozco and Sanchez discovered his plans.

He admits to killing all four of them and using Swan’s eyeball to gain access to all the necessary paperwork. Langston then prepares to leave on his helicopter for his meeting with A.M to obtain the 65 million dollars he is owed.

David O’Donnell and Karla Dixon are loaded onto the choppers, but Lavoy’s team and Neagley attack from both sides, leaving Reacher able to escape using the pin hidden in his shoe to unlock the cuffs. Reacher jumps onto one of the wheels of the helicopter and climbs up and fights with the henchman while trying to stop Dixon from falling to her death.

Langston begs for his life but Reacher grabs him and throws him out of the helicopter and reminds him of one very important thing.

‘Assumptions kill.’

Reacher, O’Donnell and Dixon force the pilot to take them to the location where Langston was due to meet A.M. When they arrive, Reacher and the 110th ignore the villain’s requests and shoot A.M to death.

They then trick the pilot and the engineer into thinking they are being let go, and they head to the helicopter and take off, only to be shot down by Frances Neagley using one of Little Wings missiles.

Lavoy’s team arrive and turn on the 110th, blissfully unaware that Reacher has called Homeland Security to take care of Lavoy and his team for being involved in the illegal Little Wing business. Reacher plays dumb when Homeland Security asks him about Langston’s money.

The 110th ponder what to do with all the money as they rest and recuperate at a diner after their ordeal. Reacher is nominated to be in charge of it as he is the one who cares the least about money.

Reacher donates money to the families of the 110th members who perished and the animal shelter where Swan got his dog from, while Neagley’s father gets the healthcare he needs, O’Donnell’s kids get money for their education and Reacher sets Dixon up with her own business. Reacher plans to spend his money on buying a new toothbrush.

The 110th raise a toast to absent friends at a camp fire before going their separate ways. Well, not quite, Reacher has one last night with Dixon, who has bought him a toothbrush as a leaving present.

Reacher uses his money to buy a bus ticket that will give him the ability to travel all over the country for a whole year, and Neagley turns up at the bus stop to see Reacher off and plead him to keep in touch. An old man on the bus asks Reacher where he’s been:

‘Visiting family’

He then asks him where he’s headed, and he says ‘No idea’ and the bus takes off and that is the end of season 2. Reacher Season 3 is already confirmed, and it’ll be another adaptation of one of Lee Child’s novels.

After a helicopter flies above the Catskill Mountains in New York, and drops a man called Calvin Franz out of it, killing him as he lands on the ground, Jack Reacher resurfaces after a distress call from former 110th member, Frances Neagley and they investigate the death, as Franz is also an ex member of the special investigations unit.

Daniel O’Donnell and Karla Dixon join Reacher and Neagley and the group head to Atlantic City to locate Orozco and Sanchez who have also gone missing.

Reacher and Dixon fight off a bunch of henchmen sent there to kill them and link the deaths of their friends to a mysterious company called New Age technologies, which is run by a vicious man called Shane Langston. Reacher and Dixon also act on their feelings for one another throughout the season.

The 110th discover Langston is plotting to get hold of some very dangerous missiles through a man known as A.M, which is an alias.

The 110th beat off attacks from everything from a biker gang to a man with a dangerous weapon in a hospital to track down Langston to a warehouse where O’Donnell and Dixon are being held captive.
