âReacherstarAlan Ritchson is back in Ontario and he’s sharing an exciting collaboration with a Canadian company.
On Wednesday, the actor dropped by a Toronto cookie shop to check out a new limited-edition cookie that was named after him and his reaction is the sweetest thing ever.
Ritchson shared the collaboration in a cute video online and his fans are loving it.
“For those of you that have followed my career for any amount of time, you’re gonna know how much I love Craig’s Cookies so you’ll know I cannot contain myself right now,” Ritchson says in the Instagram clip as he stands inside the Leslieville shop.
He then introduces Craig Pike, founder of Craig’s Cookies, who gives details on the cookie itself.
“The Alan” is a cookie made with a mix of dark chocolate chips from Toronto company Soul Chocolate and butterscotch chips. It’s also made with Pike’s “famous secret” cookie recipe.
The combination was made using Ritchson’s favourite cookie flavours.
Craig’s Cookies tells Narcity the partnership began “organically” while Ritchson was filming the Amazon Prime Video series Reacher in Toronto.
Ritchson was first introduced to the company by his assistant who brought him some sweet treats “as a boost to get through his gruelling fight scenes.”
The actor quickly grew to love the cookie company and has talked about it on several occasions.
If you want to try out “The Alan” for yourself, the limited-edition cookie is available at all four Craig’s Cookie GTA locations – The Village, Parkdale, Leaside and Leslieville. Each cookie costs $4 and is available from February 8 to February 29.
The best part? You not only get to try out a delicious new flavour, but you’ll also be supporting a good cause.
All the proceeds made from this particular cookie will go towards the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health.
“Craigâs Cookies has always supported local and community organizations, and we couldnât be happier to team up with Alan Ritchson to support CAMH, one of Canada’s leading research hospitals supporting individuals’ mental health,” Pike said.
Ritchson is currently in Ontario filming Season 3 of Reacher.
He’s been sharing photos and videos from the set on his Instagram page since January. In one he even blames Toronto’s winter weather for a rough day on set.
On Wednesday, the actor also mentioned that his “next dream” is to bring Craig’s Cookies “to you” so that could be another fun surprise coming up for Reacher fans!
