Selena is worried about Travis’ intentions with Taylor after the NFL star’s ex-girlfriend issued a public warning.

Taylor Swift has made it known how important her girl squad is, but that doesn’t mean she needs everyone’s approval when it comes to her dating life. According to a new report, not everyone close to the singer is a fan of her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce, including Selena Gomez.

“Selena is wary of the whole thing. Selena doesn’t want to be mean or negative, but she’s just not sure about Travis,” a source claimed to OK! Magazine.

Taylor Swift is a cultural icon and a financial powerhouse in the entertainment industry, who is now in the billionaires club.

The insider further claimed that Selena even confronted Taylor about her concerns last month, though Taylor and Travis’ romance has only appeared to heat up since then.

“Selena is Taylor’s best friend, so she brought up her concerns over dinner. She wants to make sure Taylor is aware of how bonkers this all looks,” they explained. “She wants Taylor to see things from a different perspective and talk to her about how this romance started and where it could possibly go.”

Apparently, Travis’ previous reality television show Catching Kelce is one of the red flags Selena is concerned with. The short-lived 2016 show featured the athlete dating 50 women. It ended with him selecting contestant Maya Benberry to date in the finale, but it wasn’t long before they split amid reports that Travis was unfaithful.

Maya recently opened up about their brief romance to stand by her previous claims that Travis cheated on her. She even gave a direct warning to Taylor, suggesting that Travis’ motives for dating her may be questionable.

“The man that I knew him to be when we dated,” Maya told Daily Mail. “Only time will tell but like the saying always goes, once a cheater, always a cheater.”

“Taylor seems like such a fun girl with a beautiful spirit so I wish her the best of luck but I wouldn’t be a girls’ girl if I didn’t advise her to be smart!” she went on.

“I’m sure by now she has mastered the ability to see who is really there for her – and who is just using her,” Maya added. “I can only hope that she comes out the teacher in this situation and not the student.”

Taylor Swift has dated celebrities like Harry Styles, John Mayer, and Calvin Harris, and her fans have plenty of thoughts about each relationship.

There’s been speculation that Travis is using his high-profile romance with Taylor for fame and financial game. For instance, his jersey sales have skyrocketed in the wake of his newfound popularity amongst Swifties. He further fueled the theory by purchasing a new $6 million mansion with added security features, as his loved ones are reportedly concerned by the level of publicity their relationship is receiving.

Travis’ past has also been brought into question, including comments from last year in which the athlete claimed he wanted to find a “breeder” to start a family with to win his mother’s affect, as he explained she wants more grandchildren.

“To all the breeders out there,” Travis said during an episode of his New Heights podcast. “I’m gonna find a breeder, and I’m gonna get kids so that mom can love me again.”

Taylor hasn’t publicly responded to the controversy surrounding her new romance.
