REACHER IS ONE of the biggest shows running right now. With two full seasons now out, the Prime Video series is a heart-racing thriller following a nomadic investigator who can seriously throw a punch. Based on Lee Child’s popular book series, the show is a hit for the streaming service and has shot its lead actor, Alan Ritchson, to fame.

Before the success of Reacher, Ritchson was known for various television roles, including a main role in 2010’s Blue Mountain State, playing Aquaman in Smallville, and more recently appearing in an episode of Black Mirror. He also appeared across the CW’s various DC Comics shows.

Ritchson also had a few notable film roles, playing Gloss in Hunger Games: Catching Fire, voicing Raphael in two Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films, and playing the character Agent Aimes in Fast X. Reacher, however, has been the actor’s biggest breakout role yet.

In an interview on The Today Show, Ritchson revealed he and his wife Catherine were high school sweethearts in Florida, where he grew up. Ritchson sheepishly revealed the two met during his days as a dancer, when he was doing ballet.

The show’s hosts, Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush, then revealed they had a picture of the couple (from Catherine’s Instagram) back when Ritchson performed in a production of Guys and Dolls.

He explained his not-yet wife would bring him cookies before he’d go on stage. Of course, her endearing gesture won Ritchson over, and the two have now been married for 15 years.

They have three children.

According to Catherine Ritchson’s Instagram, she’s mother to three kids, aged 11, 9, and 8. She’s also (of course) a major fan of husband’s work on Reacher, with multiple posts of how excited she is for his success. Catherine Ritchson also shares fun photos of their family, and even makes a few memes based on her husband’s hit show.
