Chris Brown once wanted to commit suicide after abusing Rihanna

However, his ex-lover did not feel stuck because he beat Rihanna, but was sad because his glory was extinguished in an instant.

In February 2009, Chris Brown caused a stir when he abused his girlfriend (who was still dating him at the time), Rihanna , and sent her to the hospital. 

From being a rising R&B star, the male singer’s career plummeted and it took a long time to recover to its current position.

 Not to mention, Chris Brown also had to do public service, receive a 5-year suspended prison sentence, and attend counseling classes on domestic violence.

Recently, ex-lover Rihanna opened up about the past abuse scandal in the documentary  Welcome to My Life , and perhaps this is the first time Chris Brown has shared the most candidly ever on this issue. 

However, he was ridiculed a lot by the media, because it seemed that his thoughts did not seem to come from remorse for having committed a crime, but rather from losing his halo in just a blink of an eye.

Chris Brown confided: ” I went from being on top of the world, owning number one songs, being America’s darling to being the number one enemy of public opinion. I feel like a monster.

I I even thought about suicide and many other things. I couldn’t sleep. I ate very little… I mostly used illegal drugs .” 

In addition, the documentary also reveals that Chris Brown is as devastated as he is today partly because fame came so quickly that he lost his childhood and did not have a true life like his peers. 

Chris Brown’s mother also shared a few words in the clip about her son’s abuse of Rihanna. She said: ” It was the worst day of my life, and probably of his life too. I felt like I was about to lose this son .”

Previously, when the incident broke out, Chris Brown immediately apologized for his wrongdoing, and affirmed that he had no memory of the impulsive moment that caused him to “put his foot down and lower his hand” with his girlfriend.

 Although always apologetic, Rihanna’s ex-lover is not so easily ignored by public opinion. 

Even in 2010, he was denied a visa by the UK because of “serious criminal violations”, causing the entire tour to be temporarily postponed.
