Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky’s marriage a ‘question mark’: ‘Drifted apart’

“They’re still very much a united family, but they’ve drifted apart as a couple.”

A source has claimed Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky’s marriage is a ‘question mark’ and that they’ve ‘drifted apart’.

It comes after fans began commenting on the pair’s Instagram pages, wondering why they had spent so much time apart recently after going on seperate holidays earlier this year.

A source told In Touch that while the pair has put on a united front over the Christmas period, they have been growing apart for a while now.

“The status of Chris and Elsa’s marriage is a question mark,” they said. “The separate vacations are a huge red flag, but it’s more than that. They’re still very much a united family, but they’ve drifted apart as a couple.”

The source claims that Chris wants to live a “simpler life”, but “Elsa wants more”.

“They were the perfect husband-and-wife team for so long – both gorgeous, beautiful kids. Everything seemed picture-perfect. But things have definitely changed,” they said.

In October, Elsa took the pair’s twin sons, Tristan and Sasha, to Japan, while Chris took their daughter, India, to Iceland for a holiday.

Later, in November, Elsa went to Spain to attend The Woman Awards, while Chris was in Dubai with his brothers Liam and Luke, their partners and his parents to watch the F1.

Chris and Elsa’s sons joined him on the trip, but it’s unknown whether India joined her mum.

Earlier this month, Elsa shared a series of photos of herself and her children putting up their Christmas tree, with one user writing, “Haven’t seen you and @chrishemsworth together in a while, hope all is good.”

“Yes, that’s true…” another replied, with a third saying they were “really worried” and someone else adding, “No, because the last few months they have not been liking each other’s pictures or taking pictures with each other, something is up, I know it”.

Others questioned where Chris was, while some clapped back, saying what they post on social media doesn’t necessarily reflect real life accurately.

Chris also spent some time travelling to promote Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, with Elsa and the kids staying home. However, the family enjoyed a holiday in Fiji before Christmas and appeared to be spending Christmas Day at home in Byron Bay.

While it doesn’t appear as though the couple have been interacting with each other’s Instagram posts lately, this could simply be because they choose to be more present with each other, and social media doesn’t mean a great deal to them.
