 However, it looks like the film can’t detach itself from drama, as reports have emerged that a drunk Momoa dressed up as Johnny Depp attempted to kick out Amber Heard from the upcoming DC film.

Jason Momoa has been widely recognized not only for his authentic portrayals and works in different genres of films but also for his genuine and respectful demeanor.

However, it looks like embarrassing documents from the Depp vs.

Heard trial have surfaced on Reddit, creating unwanted trouble not only for the film but also for their lead man as well.

As per Variety, Johnny Depp’s fans have paid the court fees for the disclosure of the documents from Heard’s therapist, Dr.

Dawn Hughes. The raw notes from the therapist belonged to the infamous Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard defamation trial, which happens to be the most infamous episode of the celebrity split in Hollywood.

The unfiltered notes from Dr. Dawn Hughes mentioned that the set of Aquaman was an extremely hostile area.

The notes also describe that a tipsy Jason Momoa, dressed up as the Blow actor has pushed the actress and expressed his intentions of firing her from the film.

“Jason said he wanted me fired,” the notes say. “Jason drunk — late on set. Dressing like Johnny. Has all the rings too.”

While Heard accused the actor of alleged crimes, a DC spokesperson came forward claiming that Jason Momoa had been extremely professional on the set of the film, and not once did he conduct any act that would make people question his professionalism.

“Jason Momoa conducted himself in a professional manner at all times on the set of ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.’”

The credibility of the statement by Amber Heard remains a question, as she had previously accused Depp of several heinous crimes, which he had been proven not guilty of.

However, the film tangled itself into another controversy as Amber Heard’s ex-boyfriend, Elon Musk stepped in to save the damsel in distress.

After the release of Aquaman in 2018, James Wan, the director of Aquaman took the bold decision of moving forward without the Zombieland actress in the sequel of the film.

The reason was that Heard’s on-screen chemistry with Jason Momoa did not spark. As a result, it was decided that Wan would let go of the actress.

The decision was taken long before and it was more on the professional side rather than Momoa’s alleged unprofessional act on the set.

However, the decision never took place, as per Variety, an insider states that Elon Musk, stepped in with his legal team and sent a “scorched-earth letter to Warner Bros. threatening to burn the house down.” 

Hence, the CEO of Tesla Motors was the knight in shining armor who became a hero in Heard’s story.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to release on 20 December 2023.
