“I didn’t get invited back”: Nicole Kidman’s Friend Accidentally Called the Cops on Tom Cruise by Pressing the Panic Button in $600M Star’s Extremely Controlled House

Soon after Cruise’s divorce from Mimi Rogers, they tied the knot in 1990 and later adopted two children. However, the couple would go on to file for divorce after being together for ten years.
Talking about her marriage to one of the biggest stars in the industry, Kidman shared that she felt very protected in her marriage.

She felt like she had to grow up all over again after her divorce from Cruise.
And it seems that the Mission Impossible star was highly concerned for the safety of his family as he installed a panic button in his house.
Actress Kyra Sedgwick shared an incident where she pushed that panic button, which resulted in cops showing up at Cruise’s house.

During her appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, Kyra Sedgwick shared an incident that happened, when she was invited to a dinner party at Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s house.
She shared that the couple was still together then, and her husband, Kevin Bacon, was working on A Few Good Men with the action star.

She shared that after dinner, she was looking around the house when she spotted a button “underneath a lip of a piece of the mantle.” The Closer actress was intrigued by it and pushed it.
However, when nothing happened, she told the Vanilla Sky star, “Tom, I pressed this button.”
After which, he told her that it was the panic button. Sedgwick shared that her pushing the panic button resulted in a lot of cops showing up at Cruise’s house.
“So what happened was a lot of police came,” she said before adding that they were not ready to leave until they confirmed that everything was right.

She stated that the Top Gun actor tried telling them that he was fine, but “they wouldn’t leave until they actually saw him.”
And it ended up being the Loverboy star’s last visit to his house, as she shared that she was never invited back after the incident.
Nicole Kidman Felt Protected in Her Marriage to Tom Cruise
Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise got married soon after the actor split from his ex-wife Mimi Rogers in 1990.
Kidman, who made her Hollywood debut in the 1980s, was only 23 years old when she tied the knot with the Knight and Day star.
After her separation from Cruise, she opened up about her marriage.

Kidman shared she was very young at the time of her marriage, “but it definitely wasn’t power for [her]– it was protection.”
She shared that being married to one of the most successful men in the industry gave her protection from the things others usually suffer.
The Big Little Lies actress shared that although she continued to work, she felt “very much cocooned” during those years.
And things were not the same when she got out of that protection after ten years.
“When I came out of it at 32, 33, it’s almost like I had to grow up,” she shared. The Eyes Wide Shut co-stars finalized their divorce in 2001.
