In a recent promotional session with  ABC for her latest release  Used to Be Young, the iconic crooner breaks down as she spoke about her dad, Cyrus expresses how fame has always been part of her life and how differently it influenced both.

Cyrus talked about her strained relationship with her father, as she and her sibling have suffered heartbreaks due to their parent’s divorce.

And soon after, her father, Ray Cyrus, got engaged to a musician. Firerose, 34, who is just four years older than his daughter.

In the interview,  compares her and her father’s childhoods, saying her “dad ‘grew up the opposite of me”. She who embraced the reputation from a very young age through a show was different from Dad who struggled to make a breakthrough.

  She admitted the difference in their career growth and how it reflects an artist emotionally.

She grew up in a close-knit family with enough support and financial stability, and it was sad for her dad back then. She noticed that becoming famous can be very risky for people who didn’t have much before.

“When I was born, my dad had the number-one country song. When I see the numbers, I just see the humans behind them enjoying the music, and I just see people in numbers.

My dad grew up the opposite of me, so I think that’s where our relationship to fame and success is wildly different”.

She explains that her father’s emotions are tied to the audience and it heals him from the past. On the other hand, Cyrus used to be the spotlight’s center of attention.

Cyrus and Ray Cyrus have had many differences throughout their lives, while her dad’s early life was tougher.

“Him feeling loved by a big audience impacted him emotionally more than it ever could me. When he feels special or important, it’s like healing a childhood wound. And I’ve always been made to feel like a star”.

She highlighted the significance of audience admiration for an artist rather than gaining some spotlight attention. She emphasized that being loved by his audience is much more important, and that’s how the hard work of a singer pays off.
