The 30-year-old pop superstar rose to fame as a teen idol when she began starring on the hit TV series Hannah Montana in the late 2000s but “infamously” shed her Disney Channel image when left the show with powerful singles like We Can’t Stop and Wrecking Ball as she matured into her twenties.

While Miley Cyrus once felt “embarrassed” about the upset she caused, she now believes she was “judged harshly” by others.

“I’ve carried guilt and shame for years because of how much controversy and sadness I’ve caused,” Cyrus told British Vogue .

Now that I’m an adult, I realize how harshly I was judged.

I was judged harshly as a child by adults and now, as an adult, I realize that I would never judge a child harshly.”

Miley Cyrus added: “I will not delete my story or want it deleted. Having an interesting life creates interesting stories.

I make choices I’m proud of because it protects me… I put my mental and physical health first…”.
