Miley Cyrus has opened up about how touring has a negative impact on her health.

“The show is only 90 minutes but that’s your life,” she said in the clip, which was shared on TikTok. “If you’re performing at a certain level of intensity and excellence, there should be an equal amount of recovery and rest.”

The 30-year-old explained that performing live is about “training your ego” to be “active,” and it’s difficult for her to “turn it off” and often has an “unhealthy” impact on her.

“Having every day the relationship between you and other humans being subject and observer isn’t healthy for me, because it erases my humanity and my connection, and without my humanity, my connection, I can’t be a songwriter, which is my priority,” Cyrus shared.

The “Flowers” hitmaker’s latest music release reflects on her rowdy teen years and early 20s.

Cyrus debuted the track Friday, alongside an accompanying music video in which she wears a vintage Mickey Mouse tee, on the 10th anniversary of the release of her hit “Wrecking Ball.”

It also marked a decade since her infamous twerking performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

“I know I used to be crazy / I know I used to be fun,” she sings in the chorus. “You say I used to be wild / I say I used to be young.”

In the song, Cyrus remembers “every one” of the nights she was “wasted” and how she ultimately realized “open bars lead to broken hearts.”

Prior to releasing the track, Cyrus teased the song on social media and revealed that she actually wrote it two years ago.

“I have spent the last 18 months painting a sonic picture of my perspective to share with you.

The time has arrived to release a song that I could perfect forever,” she wrote last week.

“Although my work is done, this song will continue to write itself everyday.

The fact it remains unfinished is a part of its beauty. That is my life at this moment ….. unfinished yet complete.”
