Nicole Kidman - a beauty who sacrifices herself with bold, shocking hot scenes

Nicole Kidman has become a familiar face in Hollywood since the late 1980s after attracting attention with the horror film “Dead Calm” (1989).

After that, the beauty became even more famous thanks to her love affair with actor Tom Cruise.

Career has many ups and downs

Nicole Kidman was born in 1967 and grew up in Australia. In 1983, when Kidman was 16 years old, she had her debut role in the movie “Bush Christmas”.

This is a stepping stone to help Kidman participate in more television projects in her home country.

In 1989, the beauty had the opportunity to participate in “Dead Calm” – the work that made her name flourish.

After “Dead Calm”, Nicole Kidman received a lot of attention from the audience and also caught the eye of Tom Cruise.

In 1990, Kidman was invited to star in “Days of Thunder” with Cruise – one of the most famous actors of that time.

The 1990s are considered a “whirlwind” in Kidman’s career. She became a name sought after by filmmakers.

Nicole Kidman received two consecutive Oscar nominations, in the Best Actress category for the movie “Moulin Rouge!” (2001) and “The Hours” (2002).

With “The Hours”, the star made history by becoming the first Australian actress to win an Oscar.

After the big win, Kidman’s career fell into crisis with a series of poorly rated roles.

During the period 2004 – 2005, almost every film she participated in was considered a failure. Even in 2005, she and her “Bewitched” co-star Will Ferrell were named at the Golden Raspberry Awards.

Despite consecutive failures, Kidman did not give up, she gradually regained her form in the next stage. In 2017, Nicole Kidman successfully tried her hand as a producer for HBO’s miniseries ‘Big Little Lies’.

In addition to producing, she also participated as the main actress, playing the role of a female lawyer married to a husband with a passion for physical violence.

Fans witnessed an extremely daring Nicole Kidman when filming passionate, dramatic “love” scenes.

“Big Little Lies” was a “big bang” in Kidman’s career, bringing home 16 Emmy Awards, 4 Golden Globe Awards, Critics Choice Awards and SAG Awards.

Obsessive marriage with Tom Cruise

“Days of Thunder” was not only the start of Nicole Kidman’s film career in America, but also sealed her relationship with Tom Cruise.

Kidman and Cruise got married on Christmas Eve 1990 in Colorado, but their marriage only lasted until 2001.

While still in love with Cruise, the beauty once had an ectopic pregnancy and once had a miscarriage.

The post-divorce period from Cruise was a dark, haunting time for the Australian actress. In 2012, in an interview for Who magazine , Kidman admitted she was very depressed.

To this day, there are still many speculations about the cause of the two stars’ breakup, but Kidman wants to keep the past private.

In an article published on The Cut, Kidman said she felt “reluctant” when asked about her former marriage to Cruise because she felt it was disrespectful to her current husband.

After breaking up with Tom Cruise, Kidman found hope in love when she met and married Keith Urban in 2006. The couple has two children together, Faith and Sunday.

A shocking time for the film world

The project “The Paperboy” (2012) is the most shocking film among the works Kidman has ever participated in.

In the movie, there is a scene where Zac Efron’s character is allergic to a jellyfish sting.

Because she was so panicked and didn’t know what to do, the character she played… urinated on the character’s body and face.

The scene was 100% real, Kidman – a seasoned star with 30 years of acting experience – asked Zac Efron to lie still so she could handle this scene.

Director Lee Daniels shared that before sending the work to the Cannes Film Festival, he called Kidman to talk to Kidman at midnight because he wanted to remove this scene from the film to avoid controversy.

However, the beauty herself asked the director to keep it.

Just as Lee Daniels feared, the above scene surprised the audience because Kidman was so reckless and created a wave of controversy.

A part of the audience thinks it is too offensive and makes viewers uncomfortable.

Despite criticism, “The Paperboy” still received an 8-minute applause at the Cannes Film Festival, received a Palme d’Or nomination and a Supporting Actress nomination at that year’s Golden Globes.

Also in “The Paperboy”, Nicole Kidman once again shocked viewers when recreating Sharon Stone’s classic splits  in  “Basic Instinct”.

Even though she has dozens of major awards and nominations, Nicole Kidman still diligently conquers art.

This year, she continues to participate in the Oscar race, being nominated in the Female Lead category for the movie “Being the Ricardos”.

Last January, “Being the Ricardos” brought Nicole Kidman the Golden Globe Award, in the category of Best Actress in a Drama Series.
