Opening with the image of Maddie’s car being confiscated, No Hard Feelings immediately clearly portrays her personality. Maddie flirts, begging her ex-lover who is taking her “livelihood” away.

But when things didn’t go as expected, she immediately expressed her dissatisfaction, swearing in every word.

Following in Maddie’s footsteps, the film guides the audience through Percy’s life. He appears to be a person who has been protected since childhood, and every life decision has had the involvement of his parents.

Even Percy’s phone had to open location with his parents’ phone, so they could follow his steps every minute and every second.

From here, the work shows the polar opposites of two characters coming from different circumstances. Alone, Maddie fends for herself, lives instinctively and swears often.

While Percy is shy, gentle, likes watching anime, playing games, hugging sleeping bears and petting animals.

Meeting each other, Maddie thought her skills could defeat the young man. As it turned out, the harder she tried, the more frightened Percy became.

Maddie was angry when Percy sprayed pepper spray in her face the first time they met. And Percy was confused when Maddie took him to a bar to drink even though he was a minor.

During the process of conquering the young man, Maddie used many 18+ tricks, aggressively approaching Percy, making the audience laugh.

Maddie and Percy are role models that represent the Millennials generation (those born between 1981 and 1996) and the Gen Z generation.

The problems the two characters encounter revolve around the familiar internal conflicts of both groups. person above.

At Maddie’s age, she was swept away by the flow of money, looking for ways to survive and stabilize her life during an inflationary period.

Percy struggles in the process of escaping his family shell, learning how to grow up and position himself in the world.

The film is the process of Maddie teaching Percy how to grow up through love, but also a journey for Maddie to learn to love life.

Following Percy, she must get used to the exciting parties, entertainments of young people and rediscover joy from the things she had forgotten in the past.

As time went on, Maddie’s dressing style changed more and more. The sexy outfits at the beginning of the film gradually change into more discreet, youthful outfits.

Percy also changed when he encountered Maddie’s abundant energy. Not only does he change to the image of an elegant, mature young man in appearance, he also becomes more perfect in his thinking.

With a gentle nature, Percy uncovers Maddie’s true personality behind her brash personality through sincere conversations. Thanks to him, Maddie’s emotional wounds from her family gradually healed.

Using sexual elements as a storytelling foundation, the film exploits many charmingly amusing moments in the first half of the film.

Later, the film’s rhythm becomes more relaxed when Maddie’s past story is revealed, bringing a message of healing without falling into tragedy. However, this approach makes the overall work unbalanced.

The meeting between Maddie and Percy happened quickly, developed hastily, and ended predictably. Besides, many situations throughout the work are created and resolved superficially.

But with the name of a comedy, Nanny Teaches Love has succeeded in bringing an accessible story and refreshing laughter to viewers.

Jennifer Lawrence escaped the image of a serious female lead in dramatic works to indulge in physical comedy. She constantly makes viewers laugh because of her arrogant behavior, despite everything to approach the male lead.

Jennifer’s somewhat exaggerated and muddy acting style fits the character’s personality, bringing a lot of laughter.

In many comedic situations that are somewhat adult, the stars also handle them extremely neatly, without causing a sense of vulgarity.

Joining Jennifer Lawrence is Andrew Barth Feldman, a Broadway musical actor starring in a movie for the first time. Andrew’s photogenic and innocent appearance creates a lot of sympathy.

The interactions between him and his seniors are harmonious, contributing to promoting the effectiveness of the humorous episodes.
