James Bond actress Léa Seydoux has a new movie coming out and it has officially confirmed its UK release after it premiered at this year’s Venice Film Festival.

Seydoux stars in The Beast alongside 1917 actor George MacKay. The film played at the Venice Film Festival and received positive reception. Subsequently, the film sold in all major markets by distribution companies. Vertigo Releasing will release the movie in the UK.

The movie, from director Bertrand Bonello, is a dystopian romance drama in Seydoux’s Gabrielle is told she has to purify her DNA in order to heal from past traumas and secure her future with a job.

During the process, Gabrielle visits past lives and memories from between 1910 and 2014, during which she meets MacKay’s Louis, her past love.

Their love transcends time and space but Gabrielle begins to have a premonition that something awful will soon happen.

MacKay is best known for his role in 1917 while Seydoux played Dr. Madeleine Swann in the two most recent Bond movies, Spectre and No Time to Die. In the latter movie, Swann was revealed to be the mother of Bond’s daughter.

Last year, Seydoux opened up about a potential return to the James Bond franchise, stating: “After all, I’m not dead. It was James who died, not Madeleine. So, who knows? Maybe I’ll be back.”

She continued: “This is like fake news, right? But if we’re serious for a moment, Madeleine drives away with her daughter right at the end because James has saved them. There’ll be a new Bond because Daniel’s Bond died but who’s to say that Madeleine won’t be back?”

Seydoux was close to starring in another franchise as she had a role in the X-Men spin-off Gambit, which was later cancelled.
