Brandon Aiyuk is one of the most polarizing figures in the NFL. The star receiver currently plays for a star-studded San Francisco 49ers franchise. After a tough loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 58, Aiyuk seems unhappy in San Francisco.

Trade rumors heated up shortly after the big game in February when his girlfriend posted to TikTok that they would not be back in San Francisco in 2024. His best friend also posted on his Instagram story that Aiyuk won’t be playing with the team.

Trade rumors have only been heating up, and they have now hit an all-time high after a rookie NFL quarterback recently revealed his dream receiver to be the 1,000-yard receiver, and a trade has never been closer to happening.

In a post on X, MLFootball posted that Washington Commanders rookie signal-caller has said that his dream NFL teammate would be the disgruntled 49ers star. The post also adds that the former LSU Tiger has had a “tight relationship” with Aiyuk for years.

Could A Brandon Aiyuk To Washington Be A Reality?

The Commanders selected Jayden Daniels with the second overall pick after struggling in 2023, finishing with a 4-13 record. They signed many huge free agents this season, bringing in linebacker Bobby Wagner and quarterback Marcus Mariota, setting up Daniels for success in 2024.

Aiyuk’s second straight 1,000-plus-yard season in 2023 was marked by 75 receptions, totaling over 1,300 yards. Aiyuk also scored 7 touchdowns before helping the 49ers reach the Super Bowl, where they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime.

The 26-year-old receiver was visibly upset in an interview after the loss in February. Since then, he has been the subject of trade rumors, and a trade to Washington could be a reality if the Commanders are willing to make their franchise quarterback’s dreams come true.
